Inkubus @ Termination

April 29th, 2008

>Got an itch to hear some old school goth? How about a jones for industrial music, or maybe a taste for harsh electro? In the mood for futurepop, or maybe the best hits from the heyday of New Wave? Or maybe you’re into something more experimental, like J/goth or dark drum ‘n bass, spun on the fly?
That’s Battle Royale in a nutshell. Every half hour it’s a different DJ vying to get you on the dance floor.

Inkubus Haberdashery will be in the house selling their fine clothing and accessories, and they’ve generously donated THREE $50 gift certificates to their store, which we’ll raffle off over the course of the night. We’ll also have posters to give away courtesy of Metropolis Records, a small stash of stickers to give out and a limited supply of mix CDs to help you get in touch with some great new music.

Come to dance. Come to shop. Come to win free stuff.
And bring lots of your friends!

On being an Inkubus girl?

April 14th, 2008

We have been -maybe not so diligently- working on our latest update.  You might have noticed some new items but the main body of our last shoot (so to speak) was our new bikinis and bathing suits which we still need to update for you (it’s coming soon!  I promise…)

After the shoot we thought it’d be fun to do an interview with one of our models, Natasha, but we were unprepared and all just not bright enough to think of any questions.  The whole thing lasted about a painful two minutes which I edited to an equally painful 50 seconds and which you can view here

Almost bikini weather?

March 31st, 2008

Here in beautiful Southern New Hampshire it snowed today…  Several days into Spring.  Yes, March 31st.  In spite of this, or maybe because of it, my mind turns to thoughts of lazy beach days, the sun shining, the sunscreen thick and in several layers, the cool, cool bikinis and bathing suits that are available at Inkubus

Yes, an update is forthcoming and beach wear will be a big portion of it.  Everything from guns to card suites.  It will be worth the wait!  And you best get ‘em while they are hot and available.

In the meantime, I leave you with this little tease:

For shame!

February 13th, 2008

I’m sure all business owners check out the competition…  I do that every so often, see what’s out there, see how we compare and what we can do to be better.  A couple of days agp I was doing just that when I happened upon a comptetitor’s popular website (which shall remain nameless) and I was in shock to see what dirty tricks they use!  They take an item that normally retails for, say, $48.00 and under it they write “compare at $54″ in red letters and under that “our price $48.50″  So, in essence, their price is still .50 cents over the regular price, despite of their claims.  I like to believe that shoppers are smarter than that.  Heck, as a big time shopper myself I find that practice offensive.  I would not even mind higher prices if I know why they are so:  a high overhead perhaps?  Excellent customer service?  But please, don’t try to fool me…  Sorry, kind shoppers and readers…  Just had to get that off my chest.  I know that’s not the post you expect in here.

To make up for the rant, at least I have some good news.  I’m sure you have noticed, going to our home page, that we have new men’s items (33 in all).  It’s been a while, I know…  And, if you did not notice, we also have new cosmetics and novelties.  So go check it out!

Cold season

December 10th, 2007

I woke up today on day three (or is it four?) of a nasty cold.  It was dark enough outside that I had to turn the lights on and out the windows all is white as far as the eye can see.  Days like this make you long for a comfy hoodie…  Don’t they?  I’m lucky enough to have several jackets, hoodies, cardigans (more coming in too!) from Inkubus and that I’m only a 10 mile drive away.  But mail order is not such a bad thing either.  Heck, might be even better:  You are sitting at home, nice and toasty, thinking about how you don’t want to go out and here comes the mailman (for those who actually have mail delivery at home…  Not me here in rural NH) with your Numbskull Hoodie (I have mine on as I type this) or maybe you are going out tonight, to the club or the theater and your gorgeous 1940’s Dress Coat comes in…  That could sure make a dreary day so much better…

Need more incentive?  I have activated a discount code, good only for today, for $5.00 off.  Think of it as bringing our already low shipping rate so much lower!  On check out just type blog1210 at the prompt and you will get your discount.  Remember: it’s only good for today.

Enjoy and stay warm!

A lost art?

November 26th, 2007

In this day and age when almost everyone has a computer (or access to one at the library or a café) letter writing seems to be all but forgotten.  Those of you who have never gotten an actual personal letter or card in the mail do not know what you are missing and if you have never sent one you are depriving your friends and loved ones from that rare pleasure.

As a young girl (yes, way before the time of the personal computer) I used to have pen pals.  The first couple I got almost by accident.  After that I join a pen pal club.  One of my pen pals came into my life when I was 16 and he was 22.  I am now 45 and we are still writing to each other!  While we do sometimes send e-mails nothing feels as good as getting that envelope in your mail box with that familiar handwriting.

Why don’t you try it?  At Inkubus we have plenty of stationary choices to suit your particular taste.  Check out our “Paper Goods” section where you will not just find books and comics but also many stationary sets and cards.  Can’t think who to correspond with?  Send us a letter and we will be happy to respond!
